Dr Emily King-Oakley
Dr King-Oakley’s early focus on research began at the University of Oxford, where she completed an intercalated BA in Medical Sciences before graduating with a BMBCh with distinction. Emily began her postgraduate medical training in London and Bristol, before starting Medical Oncology specialist training in Wales in 2024.
Alongside her clinical work, she has maintained a strong research profile, serving as a sub-investigator on a wide range of early and later phase clinical trials, and presenting her own work at national and international conferences through both poster and oral presentations.
Emily now works as a Clinical Research Fellow within the CCRP, helping deliver complex trials to patients with both solid tumours and haematological malignancies. She is passionate about bringing cutting-edge research to Wales and about ensuring equity of access to clinical trials for patients across the UK nations.
