Wales Cancer Research Centre’s annual conference was held at the Vale Resort on 23 March and welcomed 300 delegates, as well as 10 stalls.

CCRP took a stand alongside colleagues and it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the CCRP’s pioneering work in research and innovation, helping to raise awareness and reinforce our position as a leader in the field. Many of our CCRP representatives also gave talks on the day including Dr Ricky Fraser within a session titled ‘Advancing cancer clinical trials in Wales, and tackling neurotoxicity in immunotherapy.’

Dr Richard Bennett, Dr Emma Barker and Dr Ricky Fraser had an abstract displayed at the conference entitled ‘Striving for Excellence: A CCRP Online Survey into Consultant Investigator Experience of the Velindre Cancer Centre Clinical Trial Pipeline‘ which identified system-level opportunities to strengthen trial activation and delivery.
